In parts one, two, three, and four of my Camino Portuguese pilgrimage documentary, I covered the first nine stages of our journey from Porto to Padron. In the final stage from Padron to Santiago, we walked the final stretch of the Camino Portuguese and made it to the Santiago Cathedral. After visiting the Cathedral, we spent a day in town for the pilgrim’s mass, and then took a day trip to Finisterre and Muxia.
It’s taken me quite a bit of time to complete this final section of the documentary, with work and daily life keeping me busy in times of Covid. I was also having a hard to re-visiting my Camino content, since we had to cancel our Camino Ingles trip due to the global Covid pandemic. I finally found the motivation this past weekend to edit these clips and add a little narration. It’s been a real pleasure to look back on our time spent along the Way from 2018, and I am now determined to return to Santiago as soon as international travel is possible.
I must make that trip with my wife, son, daughter and grandson before I’m to old!!
Hopefully we can travel again in 2021!
It must have been amazing to do this journey with your family … how special 😊. Hats off to you and your wife for giving your little boy such an amazing experience (and hats off to him for not complaining once 😉).
Loved your video’s from Porto to Santiago … and brought back wonderful memories when we’ve walked the Portuguese Camino in 2018.
