For those of you who haven’t noticed, I completely redesigned my logo for Trail to Peak. I created my original logo in Adobe Photoshop the same night I launched this blog. It wasn’t exactly appealing, but I needed something to upload, and it did it’s job for well over a year. Over the past few months, I’ve been playing around with a few ideas, and finally came up with a concept that I liked. I wanted the logo to embody the name of ‘trail to peak’, look modern, lend itself well to print and web, and be composed of my favorite color scheme, blue, black, and white. I made a few crude renderings in Adobe Illustrator before handing the project off to a graphic designer. The end result is something I’m really happy with. Let me know what you think!

I also created a new blog page called “Plan Your Next Adventure” that highlights some of my favorite trips and adventures. Take a look at the layout, and let me know if I missed any “must see” trips. This new page focuses on each major content area of my blog and is geared towards the first time reader. Sometimes I feel I’m posting too much content, or content from too many categories. Hopefully this will help readers, and myself, approach my posts in a more structured manner.

Finally, I updated my “About” page , which was long overdue! As this blog has grown, I’ve noticed a pretty sizable increase in viewership of my about page. The main problem was that it was hashed together in a few minutes when I was having the though of “I should really have an about page” one night. I’m hoping my new page does a better job of telling the reader not just about me, but also about this blog. Take a look at the new page and let me know what you think.

Have a great weekend and happy adventuring!
