It’s been about a year since I created the current logo for Trail to Peak. When I launched Trail to Peak in 2014, I started with just a quick logo I created in about 10 minutes on Photoshop with some clip art. I never really expected my blog to grow or turn into much, but as my readership began to expand, I knew I needed a more appealing logo that I could grow into. The current logo was inspired by a lot of the landscape views I saw on the John Muir Trail, a snow capped mountain peak standing tall above a pure blue glacial lake. To work in the “Trail to Peak”, I opted for a 3 dimensional trail below the granite colored peak. One year on, I’m still enamored with my new logo, and decided to create some shirts and hats to show it off on the trail.
The new Trail to Peak hats are Nike Dri-Fit, and perfect for long days on the trail. I actually wore a non-logo version of these hats for the last 3 years. I finally found a company that offered customization for them, and I jumped on the opportunity. They come in black and white, are ‘one size fits all’ with an adjustable strap, and have perforations on the sides for max ventilation and breathing.
The new Trail to Peak shirts are Hanes Cool-dri shirts and have been incredible on the trail so far. I have worn these over the past two weeks for hiking, running, and causal wear (I’m actually wearing the black shirt as I type this). I ordered these in black and white, but they come in just about every color imaginable. I love being able to wear my own logo out on the trail to help spread the word about Trail to Peak.
My first run of these shirts and hats was just a small batch for family and friends. I posted a picture to my Facebook page and was surprised that I had a few requests from people looking to make a purchase. If you’re interested in a Trail to Peak hat or shirt, leave me a comment or send me an email. I’m not going to be selling these for profit, just at cost. The hats will run about $30 with shipping and the shirts will run about $25 with shipping. Also leave me a comment if you have any thoughts about the look and design of the shirts and hats. Thanks!
