In 2018, I walked the Camino Portuguese with my wife and 2-year old son. It was an incredible journey along the 150-mile path from Porto to Santiago de Compostela. We made friends along every stop, and enjoyed every moment of the Camino experience. I initially released this documentary in a five part series, but wanted to publish a single video for those not wanting to view each part separately.
We’re currently getting ready to return to Spain to walk the Camino Ingles this summer. Looking back on this pilgrimage from 2018, it’s amazing to see how much my son has grown in the last four years. We’re especially excited to walk the Ingles given the craziness of the last few years. I look forward to see some of you along the path to Santiago. Buen Camino!
Excellent video, really took me onto the trail. Good luck with round two! Keep us posted!
Thanks, Charles!
Thank you for sharing this. I have had the call to do a Camino. Will the Camino Portugese – given it being shorter – provide the same opportunity for spiritual awakening that the French Camino clearly has given all the testmonies.. I have read other pilgrims saying its just a warm up for the real thing. But i dont think i can get the time to do the 1000km walk
I think so. I’ve found that the path doesn’t matter as much as the mindset. You’ll have opportunity enough for spiritual awakening regardless of your choice.
