Back in 2012, I completed the Camino Frances and put together a documentary called “A Journey of the Mind“. The popularity of that video is a large part of what encouraged me to launch Trail to Peak. Six years after walking 500 miles from St. Jean Pied de Port to Santiago de Compostela, I returned to the Iberian Peninsula to walk the 150-mile Camino Portuguese. This time around, I was joined by my wife and son.
I didn’t know what to expect when we began the first of our 10 day pilgrimage to Santiago, but was instantly blown away by how much Owen was loving each and every second. I’ve put together the first of a multipart series documenting our experience. This video covers our first two days from Porto To Vilarinho and Vilarinho To Barcelos.
Excellent video editing! It sounds and looks like you are off to a wonderful start. May your little rooster continue to enjoy his hike!
Thanks, David!
I enjoyed these first 2 stages very much as this is the route we are walking in September!
Very cool, Carol! Buen Camino!

Unique trails through unspoiled landscapes. Why should it always be “The Alps”, GR 20, Pulpit Rock, “the Tour du Mont Blanc”, “Cinque Terre”, “the Camino”. Laugavegurinn trail , Slovenian Mountain Trail……
There are so many other unique places for unique trails.
Have a nice walk!!!!
Thanks, Hans. I’ll check out your site. I’ve wanted to hike the GR 20, so will have to see what you have posted on it.
WOW! Looks like I will binge watching tonight 🙂 Thank you for taking us on your journey. Now my husband is getting convinced we will one day be able to do the Camino with our daughter …hopefully next year.
