Camino de Santiago

Day 17: Molinaseca to Trabadelo

It was difficult to leave the beautiful village of Molinaseca, but Santiago has been patiently waiting. I’m only one week away now, and I can feel the collective excitement growing amongst my fellow pilgrims. Im really enjoying my time here in Trabadelo. I ate dinner at a small vegetarian restaurant owned by a Dutch couple and caught my first glimpse of the Olympics. It’s amazing how quickly the mind becomes removed from caring about such games while taking part in something like this.

The 40 km walk today was gorgeous. I started the morning in Ponferrada, then made the climb into Villafranca. Tomorrow will be the second largest climb of the Camino, and the most steep. Time to get some rest.
