Day 10: Tardajos to Castrojeriz

The Meseta, everyone who blogs about their Camino experience seems to have a strong opinion of it. Most that I read were negative, and I can see why. It’s mile after mile of elevated nothingness. It’s the treadmill of the Basque region. There isn’t much to see, and no real places you’d want to stop. Strangely, I rather enjoyed it. It’s quiet, calm, and free of congestion. Just how I like it.

It’s also a great feeling to descend from the meseta into the little village of Hontanas and continue onto a tree lined pathway.
